I mentioned I was probably lucky I was unable to take birth control pills, as no one knows the effects of walking around in a state of pseudo-pregnancy for 30 years. Here are some effects of walking around in a state of pseudo-pregnancy while you’re a teenager. Maybe in another 60 years someone will be allowed to study the effects of birth-control pills on adults.

I have my doubts about the sleepiness being depression, or more accurately , nothing but depression. Sleepiness, especially in the early stages, is a well-known side effect of pregnancy. I snoozed through my first trimester. I might have snoozed through the next two if Sonkitten hadn’t taken up nocturnal acrobatics in there. He was a lively little guy.
