We’re watching the big-city fireworks on TV. What I must assume was a lovely choir in NYC sang the national anthem. I can’t honestly testify that they were a lovely choir because Sonkitten was blaring out his eerily perfect impression of Leslie Nielsen “singing “ the anthem in The Naked Gun, so I couldn’t hear a word they sang. Sonkitten sounds just like Mr. Nielsen, unfortunately. There are many opportunities to hear lovely choirs, and Sonkitten looks forward all year to doing his Leslie salute, so I wouldn’t dream of asking him not to. 😉
